I58
Mission Statement
Isaiah 58 is a chapter in the Bible where we see that the people of God should be a people who serve the poor and oppressed of our world. In serving the poor and oppressed, however, we want to go beyond just meeting physical needs. We are not going to treat symptoms. We want to address the root issues going on, so that lives and families might have the opportunity to literally be "made new." We want to serve in such a way that people are touched by and by God's grace ultimately changed by the transforming love of Christ. As Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4:5, "What we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake."

International Projects for Long term Development and Renewal
Eastern Kenya
We are working through Food for the Hungry in partnership with a church plant in Lakartinya, Kenya. The goal of the partnership is to assist this local church as they address physical and spiritual hunger within their community. Over the course of seven years, we will be visiting our sister community, interceding regularly in prayer, supporting individual children who need nutrition and education assistance, and partnering with the church and community on specific outreach and development projects.
